Situated in beautiful countryside, the panoramic views from Higher Bamham across the Tamar valley to Dartmoor are superb. Our eight cottages were converted from the 18th century farmhouse and outbuildings and can accommodate between 4 and 6 people each or up to 37 for larger groups, celebrations and special occasions. The large 12m heated indoor swimming pool with dedicated paddling area (open all year) and new play barn / games room provide the perfect base for a relaxing family holiday.
Our family friendly focus gives a great value holiday whether with toddlers and pre-school children out of season or school age children and teenagers during the school holidays. All of the facilities will ensure that parents can relax and enjoy their holiday as much as the children. We aim to provide the best-value cottage accommodation in Cornwall with the facilities to match.
All of the cottages are fully equipped with everything necessary for a very enjoyable holiday including flat screen TVs, DVD players, patios with BBQs and two acres of gardens with lots of space for children to play. Some of the cottages also have dishwashers and all of the cottages now have wood-burning stoves.
The farm is only one mile from Launceston town centre, historic capital of Cornwall with all local conveniences and providing easy access to North Coast beaches (Bude, Widemouth, Trebarwith) and coastal villages (Boscastle, Tintagel, Post Issac, Polzeath, Padstow), South Coast beaches and fishing ports (Looe, Polperro, Fowey), Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor National Park and the Eden Project. Many of the nearest North Coast and South Coast beaches are dog friendly details of which are provided on arrival.
Open all year. Flexible Short Breaks are available year round except during school holidays. We welcome dogs in six of the cottages. Following our comprehensive refurbishment programme, all of the cottages were upgraded to 4-star in our VisitBritain inspection in 2011. A weekend in Cornwall has never been easier, we’re only two miles from the A30 and half an hour from the M5.
In April 2011, we were proud to be awarded a GOLD by the Green Tourism Business Scheme in recognition of our high standards and contribution to protecting the environment and supporting the local ecomony.
