Pitt Barn Cottages are situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Cornish countryside, the cottages are centrally located between Launceston and Callington in central Cornwall (SW England). They are ideally placed for touring both the north and south coast of Devon and Cornwall. Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and a variety of National Trust properties are all close by including Cotehele House, Lanhydrock, Launceston Castle and Tintagel Castle. Looe beach and fishing harbour is thirty minutes away. The Eden Project at St Austell is only fifty minutes away.
The surrounding Tamar Valley is rich in the heritage of tin, copper and arsenic mining, with many interesting walks available through these scenic areas. The Victorian mining village of Morwellham Quay is also close by, and well worth a visit. Plymouth with its many tourist attractions including the historic Barbican and Mayflower steps, the Aquarium, Theatre Royal are only half an hour away. St Mellion and Trethorne golf clubs are close by.
