Tamar Otter & Wildlife Centre

Tamar Otter & Wildlife Centre

Type: Animal Collection

On your visit to the Tamar Otter & Wildlife Centre you will see British and Asian Short Clawed Otters playing and being fed close at hand.

There are Fallow Deer in a woodland enclosure and you will see Wallabies and Muntjac Deer roaming around the 21 acre grounds.

We have several Owl species, Peacocks and a variety of Waterfowl on the two Lakes.

There is a woodland walk leading to the Old Quarry where you will see the Scottish Wildcats. Continue on and you will come to the tranquil Quarry Pool.

The Centre is owned and run by Mandy and John Allen and is funded by the income received from visitors. Conservation activities, especially otter rehabilitation, are paid for from this income; we receive no external funding.

Hot and cold food, including quiches, jacket potatoes, ploughman’s, egg and bacon pie, salads and sandwiches.

Healthy menu options, children’s portions available.

Gluten free choices.

All made to order.

But no chips!

Delicious selection of cakes and slices all made by the ladies in the tea room.

Gift Shop includes “pocket money” priced items for children and a wide range of gifts for other visitors.
