Launceston Events
Rural shows and fairs, crafts, music, heritage and countryside events together with the specialty markets held in the historic town square, all provide the visitor with a unique experience of life in the Launceston area.
The annual Steam and Vintage Rally now held over three days is a wonderful place to visit. With vehicles and engines from a bygone era, its funfair and other unique exhibits all combine to provide a great day out for all the family and the steam and vintage enthusiast!
The Tamar Valley (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) holds many events during the year; some are in the historic houses and grounds around the area. How about going on a guided walk, or joining a bug hunt with the children? All the family can join in and learn new arts and crafts during the school holidays.
