Exhibition of Old Postcards & Prints of Launceston
Type: Show/Display
To celebrate 25 years as a shopping arcade you are invited to an exhibition of old postcards and prints of Launceston and the surrounding villages to be displayed in the Market House Arcade during July and August.
The displays will depict the town from an era gone by showing the changes to both shops, businesses, buildings and the areas which we know and live in.
This exhibition is a chance to discover fascinating facts about the the area; see how life changing events such as the closure of the railway line had an effect on this important rural market town, when businesses closed and others opened in their place as the town evolved and dealt with change and modernisation.
Children have the opportunity to enter a quiz - What is the shop Now?" - the lucky winner will receive a £25 voucher.
